This miniature environment is made from carved foam insulation sheets and foamcore. The rough concrete effect was achieved by covering the foamcore in a thin layer of plaster (stippled with a sponge). The snow was created by combining shaving foam and baking soda.

This piece sits approximately 5 1/2 feet from the ground on a custom built stand.
